BROTHERS TO PLAY AGAINST EACH OTHER
Jerome Boateng plays for Germany. His brother, Kevin-Prince Boateng, plays for Ghana. So on Sunday morning (AEST), when Germany meets Ghana at the World Cup, the siblings will represent two different nations on the same field.
Both men were born in Berlin, with the same father but different mothers. In 2009, Kevin-Prince decided to play for his dad’s native country.
“We’ve had no contact recently,” Jerome said ahead of the game. “Each of us is just concentrating on himself.”
Spare a thought for the commentator, who will have to remember which Boateng is which.
