Kim Kardashian 'set to earn nearly $200million' from hit video game
Just weeks after venturing into the world of gaming it looks likes Kim Kardashian is already the Queen of virtual reality.
According to Bloomberg, the 33-year-old star is on track to rack in an impressive $200 million (£116m) in annual revenue from her new game Kardashian: Hollywood.
The video game, which allows fans to navigate their way around Hollywood with an animated version of the Keeping up With The Kardashians beauty, is currently ranked number three on the App Store charts.
Although it is free to download, players can use real money to buy digital accessories, with $5,000 in virtual money costing $4.99 in US dollars. A pair of stilettos would set them back about $4,000 in the game, for example.
Kardashian teamed up with Glu Mobile, a company known for creating mobile games for smartphone and tablet devices, to release the game on 25 June.
"This project has been an amazing experience. I'm so excited that people are enjoying the game!" Kanye West's wife told E! News.
"I partnered last year with a fantastic company called Glu Mobile to create what is now the No. 3 Free and No. 5 Grossing game on the Apple App Store. We collaborated on every aspect of the game's design details and continue to do so with the updates we are bringing out,'"she added.
With her celebrity status it is believed that the game could become her most lucrative venture yet.
"Obviously, Kim Kardashian's brand has driven people to download the game. But at this point, the game has taken on a life of its own," Cowen & Company analyst Douglas Creutz told Bloomberg.
Kardashian first announced the launch of the app on Instagram, along with a sneak peak complete with voice-over.

Oscar Pistorious gets into Fight at Nightclub over Mention of Murder Trial
Paralympic athlete, Oscar Pistorious, who is currently facing trial for the murder of then-girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, reportedly got into a fight at a nightclub because a man allegedly taunted him about the case.
Pistorius’ spokesperson reportedly said the athlete was sitting quietly in the VIP section of the club in Johannesburg, when the man approached him, The Telegraph reports.
However, the man is alleging that Pistorious was “drunk and very aggressive” and was the one who initiated the physical altercation – which led to him pushing the athlete, who “fell over” into a chair.
This incident occurs just a few days after the adjournment of his murder trial. During the case, which will resume on August 7th, closing arguments will be made and the judge will deliver her verdict.
Pistorious killed Steenkamp on February 14, 2013 because he allegedly thought she was an intruder, and shot her in self-defense. He has pleaded not guilty to the murder.

Boko Haram: Army Chief Calls For Patience
Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lt. General Kenneth Minimah while speaking at the opening of the COAS 3rd Quarterly Conference in Abuja has appealed to Nigerians to give the Army a little more time. His words;
“You see, the Nigerian Army is performing and checking these insurgents. I know the expectations of the Nigeriancitizens but the expectation is rather too much in haste. We need some time; we need patience and you must know we are fighting terrorism. We are not fighting a conventional war. The Nigerian Army is a conventional and regular army. Continue below..
“The terrorist is someone you do not know. It may be someone who sold food or fruit to you in the morning and by the afternoon he is the terrorist. We are having all that inter-play in the battle front in the North-East. We have to be conscious to separate the terrorists from the law abiding citizens and we also have human rights to protect.
“You just do not go out killing people, that they are terrorists. Some are innocent Nigerians. We are also bound by all the international treaties on human rights, therefore, we need time. I know the expectations of the Nigeriancitizens is that this thing should be over by yesterday, but the reality is that it would not have been over by yesterday because of the structure and dynamics of fighting this type of terrorism.
“We are fighting Nigerian citizens, we are not fighting foreigners; so caution must be exercised. I appeal and assure that we will certainly surmount it but we also need support from the nation, from all segments of society and from the people including the media. And we need patience and time for us to do it. We also have the equipment and the federal government is introducing fresh and newer equipment to us which in a short while hopefully be there for use.”
